about me + the blog

Hi, friends. I’m 24, married to my favorite person, and adopting from Africa. I’m also social worker doing foster care and adoption work while living in the lovely Midwest. My husband is a med student, and he is wonderfully calm, patient, disciplined, and hilarious. He blogs here from time to time.

I am also… a daughter of the Living God, an orphan advocate, a huge fan of my church, a resident of St. Louis City, a good music/movie/book lover, a film photography hobbyist.

I mostly blog about… our adoptionadoption + foster care, social work, faith + Jesus, and married life.

This is a place to share stuff I like with people I know and some I don’t. For a while, it was nothing real dense, heavy or weighty. Just little things. But now I’m going to journey into the realm of bigger, more personal stuff. It’s part of this resolution to live one life and one life only… A life of honesty and vulnerability. I hope the words you read are words you wouldn’t be surprised hearing me speak.
