one more book giveaway

To close out National Adoption Month, I’m giving away this book.

From Ashes to Africa by Josh and Amy Bottomly.

Here’s the description:

The bitter taste of ashes was left in the Bottomlys mouths after learning their hopes of parenthood were shattered. Barrenness, regardless of the cause, causes heartache and pain so harsh it seems impossible to approach life again. But for Josh and Amy Bottomly, Africa opened a door to a new life, the life they had dreamed of. Through a little baby named Silas Tesfarmariam, the Bottomlys found their dreams realized. Clouding this new life were the storms of Africa where beauty and tragedy, wealth and poverty, and humanity and sub-humanity coexist in a jagged tension. Thrown into the squalls of this drastically different culture, the native Oklahomans learned to see God in a different light.

It’s a fun memoir and a quick read. Leave a comment to be entered to win. I’ll pick a winner at random at 5p on Wednesday night.

  1. I feel like being the first to post lowers my chances, even though I’m sure statistically they are all the same…

Jen Lee shared yesterday how this book turned her heart to African adoption, and now they are adopting 3 from the DRC 🙂

      1. k just checking – a Google ad randomly appeared on this post the other day, so i was going to click it if it was yours to help you make a penny or two. =)

  2. Looks like a great book! I’ve enjoyed keeping up with your blog and look forward to hearing all about the new adventure you’re beginning!
