This video and the one before make me ache to have kids. Someday. If it’s His desire for me.
Realizing I don’t blog about work much. Well, here’s a little taste. A game I play at work frequently called “Find the Caption in an Excel Document Full of HTML Coding.”
Really, though, I love how this job allows me to use my eye for detail. I’m a pro at finding words that aren’t bolded and should be. And I love the Web for its ever-changing qualities.
Some of my recent favorites from One Sentence. Enjoy.
Ainnir: So we ate home made bread by the Windmills and push started the car when it came time to leave.
Abby: For his birthday I gave him a Jenga set where every time you pulled out a block, it had a memory, inside joke, or quote on it.
pikachu: My crazy Polish dad came inside after digging a hole for a new tree in the backyard, holding the skull of “Speedy,” my cat who had died months before and said, “Look, it’s Speedy! Meow!”
n.: The moment my friend proudly said that he can “rock a shaved head” proved that he is much stronger than I am in dealing with his cancer.
Google Earth: When it took me 40 minutes to get from Colorado to Iowa while zoomed in on Google Maps using the arrow keys, I realized biking there wouldn’t be an option.
hollie: While I was walking home from work, it started raining heavily just as I was about to pass my favorite restaurant.
This brought tears to my eyes.
Because their happiness is contagious and they’re completely enjoying life.
And it’s been a long week for me.
I love flash mobs.
I will participate in a flash mob this summer.

New York is such a huge source of inspiration for creative minds across the world. And here’s an example, lived out in Legos.
[I love that I understand this guy's New York sort of wit and references.]
Featured on his New York Times blog, Abstract City, Christoph Niemann gives us I Lego N.Y.

Funny photo story entitled The Water Dance. Love this guy, Bill Cunningham, who does similar works for The New York Times.

Jean does lovely photos of dresses where they aren’t usually found. I find it so pleasant to see someone carrying out a series successfully over a long period of time.
