Excited for the following:
movies…
+ New York, I Love You (doesn’t look like it will be as good as Paris, Je T’Aime)
+ An Education (I’ve been told I look like the girl in this… weird)
music…
+ The Swell Season’s ‘Strict Joy’ album
+ Ministry of Magic in concert (local(ish) “wizard rock”* band)
+ Fun. in concert (the guy from The Format formed a new band, thank goodness!)
books…
+ Her Fearful Symmetry (second from The Time Traveler’s Wife author)
+ A Million Miles in a Thousand Years
+ God’s Neighborhood (heard the author of this speak at Together for Adoption)

I came across Garage Voice just when I became sufficiently bored with most of the music I own. Let Those Who Have Ears is a great album. And not cheesy in the least bit. Thank goodness.

“For us, we’re Christian, and all our songs are Christian, but we don’t want to categorize our genre as Christian. [The] Christian genre doesn’t describe anything about the music, just the lyrical content. We like to think of ourselves as jazz-flavored, indie rock.”
If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
