New York is such a huge source of inspiration for creative minds across the world. And here’s an example, lived out in Legos.
[I love that I understand this guy's New York sort of wit and references.]
Featured on his New York Times blog, Abstract City, Christoph Niemann gives us I Lego N.Y.

Because at some point we’ve all wanted slippers with Yoda’s head on them…

The February issue of Design for Mankind was released earlier this month with my story in its pages. I had such a great time interviewing Andre Jordan. Here’s the beginning of my article:
““Two lovers entwined pass me by/ And heaven knows I’m miserable now.”
-The Smiths
Andre Jordan’s graphic memoir, Heaven Knows I’m Miserable, takes its
name from this single by his favorite band. Andre’s drawings and
writings are sometimes sad, usually simple and always lovely. The
book is a collection of these, loosely telling Andre’s journey from
misery to now. Fortunately for you, Mankind Mag has the longer version,
sans doodles.”
Now go out and buy the magazine. It’s so cheap. It comes in PDF format with a video letter from the editor and mp3 of a great song in tow.
Enough for my self-promotion.

Funny photo story entitled The Water Dance. Love this guy, Bill Cunningham, who does similar works for The New York Times.
